CYT Denver is proud to sponsor several programs for our students to explore and develop their character and leadership styles.HYPE (High School Youth Pursuing Excellence): This program is designed challenge and grow the advanced students (ages 14-18) of CYT to be leaders and get involved by serving both the CYT community of family's, as well as the larger Denver area community through service projects.

IMPROV TEAMS: Bi-annually CYT Denver sponsors improv teams in the CYT National improvothon competitions. The next year will be summer 2014.

HYPE - High School Youth Pursuing Excellence HYPE MISSION STATEMENT
"We exist to make a difference in our community by uniting, mentoring and serving others inside and outside of CYT, at all times reflecting Judeo-Christian values."The goal of HYPE is to challenge and grow the advanced students of CYT to be leaders and get involved by serving the community around them. To look at all aspects of theater, not just from the actor’s point of view. And to continue to grow as an individual, committing themselves to excellence in all they do.
Each August, HYPE welcomes new High School applicants (ages 14-18) for the current year. Students involved in HYPE will participate in on-going service projects, CYT mentoring, and special events. HYPE is an excellent way for students to learn to use their God-given gifts to serve the community inside and outside of CYT!

The CYT National Decathlon Award recognizes exceptional CYT students who have demonstrated a love for theater by pursuing a well-rounded education in the theater arts and who have exhibited a character that is consistent with CYT values.
