FOCUS ON BROADWAY "In the Heights": This class will focus on one of the best musicals to come along in many years. "In The Heights" is a show about the importance of home, family and finding where you belong. In this class you will get to learn music with a Latin flavor and do dances that range from hip-hop to salsa with a little bit of tango thrown in for good measure. This show won 4 Tony awards including best musical and best choreography in 2008......Sign up early for this class because it will fill up fast.

***FOCUS ON BROADWAY is an Advanced Class. Students must have completed all three Core 101 classes in Acting, Voice and Dance to be eligible for enrollment in this class.***
Focus on Broadway
This advanced class will cover a multitude of what is expected in professional musical theatre.
We will work the students kinesthetically by preparing a dance and add character’s within this showcase to broaden the students’ acting talent.
Please bring water to every rehearsal, as well as paper and pencil to take notes during vocal and scene work. We will start the first class off with a dance audition from each student. This is not to be an overwhelming, stressful process, but is simply to get the students immediately comfortable with performing for their peers, and to reveal how an advanced class works by treating it as professionally as possible right off the bat. The audition will consist of a short hip-hop style routine that I will teach.
