ACTING 101: This class will cover all of the basic things that the beginning actor will need to know. Where is USL, what is projecting and how do I do it, what does breaking the fourth wall mean, and what do I need to know to start me on the road to becoming a professional actor? You will do scene work, monologue preparation and learn about the different acting techniques from Stanislavski to Stella Adler and work with different styles from Shakespeare to Neil Simon. ACTING 101 is a core class and must be completed along with VOICE 101 and DANCE 101 in order to move on to any advanced classes.
